Are You Asleep at the Wheel?

Ruth and I enjoy a little 'reality TV' now and then,
especially the weight loss shows. 'Bob' on the
'Biggest Loser' last night was 81 pounds lighter than when
he started the show. He said that his favorite new activity
with his thinner body is playing with his kids on the
playground. 'Back then, I could only sit and watch. But now
it's the best feeling to be able to play with them...'

and yes, he was crying his eyes out when he said it.

Personal limitations are painful. Personal growth is powerful...
and necessary for a good Life.

Remember Mr. Chick-Fil-A:
'Food is essential to life. Therefore, make it good.'

Good food feeds a good life. But the your life won't change
until you decide to change it--and take action. Bob couldn't
play with his kids until he started to eat better and get active
again. And the thought of playing with his kids again kept him
focused on his goal.

That's why the Wheel of Life metaphor is so helpful. Each of
your life roles is a spoke on the wheel helping your life
roll further along the Path. Or, when neglected, can keep
you from your Best.

For instance, if you're low-energy, blue, sick a lot or not
feeling well in general (Physical or Mental), you won't be your
best at work (Career), or feel much like going out or
networking (Social), which could stunt your professional
growth (Financial) or personal growth (Spiritual).

Or you can't play with your kids on the playground.

It all starts with your goals, what you want. Like Wallace
Wattles said,

'If you have not consciously made the decision to be rich,
excellent, and healthy then you have unconsciously made
the decision to be poor, mediocre, and unhealthy.'

Don't settle for mediocrity; make excellent decisions and
set excellent goals.

Make it Good,

Dr. Vince

P.S. The best way to start feeling better and thinking better
is to start feeding your brain better. Fish oil is the ultimate
brain food (your brain prefers fish-fats over all the others).
CoQ10 prevents brain inflammation that can lead to
Alzheimer's. Magnesium is a big-time stress-reducer. And a
multi-vitamin also helps keep your mind clear as you age.
That's why they're called the Core Four. They're the starting
place of good nutrition...and the good life.
