Knock, Knock

who's there?
Boo.
Boo who?
Sorry, didn't mean to make you cry...

My friend Ken was telling me about a guest on David Letterman
last night. Now, back in our 20's Ruth and I used to watch David
regularly; but now that we're 40-something we're watching our
eyelids by the time he comes on.

Anyway, the guest was Borat, the funny guy from Kazakhstan.

Or is he?

Yes, he's funny. But is he really from Kazakhstan? No one's really sure,
except Borat, of course, because he's always 'in character'. He might be
legit; like I say, no one's really sure.

The Kazakhstan government even took out a four-page spread in the
NY Times to tout the greatness of their country...and possibly diffuse
some of the ridiculousness of Borat's movie. Maybe they don't know either.

Ken said that Borat reminded him of Andy Kaufman (who played
Latka on 'Taxi' back in the 70's) When Andy wasn't on the show,
he would still act like one of his 'characters', and was never just
plain old Andy. Even when he tried to be serious on Saturday Night Live
(again, in our 20's), no one took him seriously.

'No one knew who he really was'. And now he's gone, and we've missed
our chance to ever find out.

Sometimes it's hard to be yourself when you're not 'feeling like
yourself'. You Brain chemistry is very delicate, and responds to the
chemicals you eat. That is, the chemicals in your food. Our grain-based,
junk-based diets can cause all kinds of mind-trouble. Depression, agression,
bipolar disorder, ADHD, O-C, even schizophrenia have their roots in too many Omega-6s distorting the brain chemistry.

Good news: they've all shown some improvement (even reversal) by
restoring the Omega-3/Omega-6 fatty acid balance in the diet.

So on this night of 'scary' eating, try not to overdo it. But if you do,
make sure to take a big dose of Concentrated Omega-3
pharmaceutical-grade fish oil (it covers a multitude of sins).

Gotta go...the goblins are knocking!

PS. when you see the kids in the masks, notice how natural it is to
say, 'Who are you?' We want to know who you are, too. So make sure
to show us your true self. If you're not feeling like yourself, check out
the Core Four. These are powerful nutrients to help your brain work
like it should--clarity, memory, mood--and keep the stress levels
low (especially as we head into the hallow-days full speed ahead)
